Application Requirements:

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants should meet all the requirements mentioned below:

  1. Scholarship application and admission to a specific course application are different and should be applied separately.
  2. For a scholarship application, the applicant should have been (provisionally) admitted to one of the qualifying UT Master programs in the academic year 2024/25.
  3. Applicant must have a student number.
  4. Applicant has not graduated from a UT (under)graduate program.
  5. Must be able to fulfill all requirements for a Netherlands visa for entry.
  6. Must have IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT of 90 or equivalent
  7. Applicant must belong to the best of 5 to 10 percent of his/her previous class

How to Apply:

  1. Applicants have to apply for a Master’s program first
  2. Once applied and received a student number, an applicant can apply for the scholarship with a student number.

Application Deadlines and Details:

Application deadline – round 1:

  • Application form opens on 15 October 2023, 09.00 CET
  • Application forms close per 1 February 2024, 16.00 CET (for programmes starting September 2024)

Application deadline – round 2:

  • Application form opens on 1 February 2024, 16.00 CET
  • Application form closes on 1 May 2024, 16.00 CET (for programs starting September 2024)

If you applied in round 1, and your application was rejected, an application in round 2 is not considered. You can only be awarded with one UT scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits:  € 3,000 – € 22,000 for one year (approximately 50 scholarships available).

Additional Information:

In the case of a two-year study program, students can receive an additional UTS of an amount equal to that in the first year to cover the expenses of the second year. However, the scholarship will only be continued during the second year when students meet the process requirements for the UTS.

You must have obtained:

  • An average grade of 7 (out of 10) at the end of the third quartile of the first year
  • At least 50% of European Credits at the end of the third quartile of the first year
