SI (Swedish Institute) Scholarship 2024/25 for Global Professionals | Fully Funded | Graduate School Scholarships | Sweden

International students looking for fully funded scholarships to study in Sweden should avail this opportunity. The Swedish Institute awards graduate school scholarships to professionals from 41 countries. SI Scholarship 2024/25 is a fully funded scholarship for international students that covers a wide range of study fields and over 700 of the 1000 English-taught master’s programs with multiple scholarship benefits in Sweden.

Eligibility:

  1. Citizen of one of 41 eligible countries
  2. Apply for a master’s program that is eligible for a scholarship
  3. Be liable to pay tuition fees at University Admissions
  4. Work experience
  5. Leadership experience from a current or previous employer

Key dates:

  • 16 October -15 January: International students apply to Swedish master’s programs through University Admission
  • November: SI Scholarship application documents for international students are published
  • 12-28 February: The application portal for the Scholarship is open
  • 21 March: University admissions for international students announcement day
  • 25 April: SI scholarship announcement day

Scholarship Benefits:

The SI Scholarship 2024/25 fully funded scholarship for international students has the following scholarship benefits:

  • Full tuition fee coverage
  • A monthly payment of SEK 12,000
  • Insurance against illness and accident
  • A travel grant of SEK 15,000
  • Membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP)
  • Becoming a member of the SI Alumni Network

Work experience requirements:

  • Applicants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, or Ukraine–  must be able to provide proof of work experience. There is no requirement for the number of hours, however applicants with more experience will be prioritized.
  • Applicants from Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, or Zimbabwe– must have at least 3,000 hours of work experience prior to 11 February 2024. You do not have to meet the requirement within one period of employment. The 3,000 hours must have been accumulated from a maximum of three employers.
