Fully Funded Erasmus Mundus EMLex Scholarships for International Students 2024 /25 | Masters | Erasmus Mundus – EMLex
EMLex, the European Master in Lexicography is an international program with 120 ECTS which was started in 2009. Moreover, in 2016, the EMLex was included in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree. This EMLex is not available for scholarship only for self-funded as well.

- Scholarship Offered by: Erasmus Mundus EMLex
- Partner Countries: Partner countries are non-EU countries except Turkey, Macedonia, Serbia, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland.
- Program Countries: 28 EU member states, Turkey, Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Liechtenstein, and Iceland are program countries under the Erasmus Mundus EMLex scholarship.
- Countries not Associated with EMLex Program: The following countries are not associated with the program: –
- Albania, Bosnia–Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Montenegro which are IPA countries.
- NDCA countries are countries from Asia and the Pacific, America and the Caribbean, EU neighborhood regions ie Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia, and countries in the sub – Saharan Africa.
- Scholarship Benefits: The benefits under the Erasmus Mundus EMLex scholarship are as follows: –
- 1400 euros per month for the entire duration of the study program (maximum 24 months) which could be used to cover travel expenses, visa and residence permit applications, and the installation and living costs.
- This scholarship also includes participation costs for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree EMLex.
- Application Period: 1 March 2024 is the last date to apply for this scholarship program.
- Admission Requirements: The following must apply for this scholarship: –
- The applicant must have a degree in the areas of
- Computational / Applied (Linguistic
- Languages (Foreign)
- Translation
- Communication / Media
- Book Studies / Library and Information Sciences
- Other relevant disciplines (subject to the consent of and approval by the consortium’s admission committee
- The applicant must provide at least a B2 competency level in English and German.

- Selection Criteria: The received applications will be first inspected on the following eligibility criteria:-
- Ensure to apply before the deadline
- The application is complete
- Proof of language proficiency
- Completion of degree
After initial inspection, authorities also asses the following points: –
- Grade and quality of degree
- Letter of motivation
- Competence in linguistic analysis
- Lexicographic / thermographic knowledge and experience in relevant field
- Language proficiency
9. Application Procedure

- Send the application form and required documents mentioned below to emlex.erasmus.mundus@usc.gal
- Application form
- Scanned passport / ID
- A motivational letter in German or English not more than 2 pages
- All Academic Degrees / Transcripts
- Proof of language proficiency
- Please keep that in mind: –
- All documents must be in a single PDF file
- The size of the PDF file must not exceed 10 MB in total
- The name of the PDF file must read as EMLex application + name of the applicant
10. Selection: After selection for a scholarship, the applicants must accept the offer within the 10 days after the approval notification; otherwise, the selected candidate will no longer entitled to receive the EMJMD – EMLex scholarship. Once the scholarship is awarded, the selected applicants can enroll in the university assigned as their home university. EMJMD-EMLex will try to assign the university of the applicants’ first choice.
11. Appeal Procedure
If an applicant believes his scholarship application was not considered during selection, he must appeal to emlex.erasmus.mundus@usc.gal. The subject line of the appeal email must contain the text “EMLex non–selection appeal” and the last name of the candidate. The applicant will be contacted as soon as a decision has been made.
