Postdoc Fellowship at KAUST, Saudi Arabia. The KAUST Global Fellowship Program supports outstanding emerging research leaders and scientists around the globe to build their path towards a fully independent and advanced career. The program inspires the young generation of scientists and engineers to explore and address global challenges and opportunities for the benefit of humanity. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants Eligibility
- The applicants must be within four years of earning their PhD or have a maximum of four years of post-Ph.D. research experience with a justified career break
- The applicants must expect to complete their PhD before the start of their Fellowship;
- The applicants must be ready to move to KAUST to undertake their proposed three-year research project;
- The applicants must have a KAUST faculty member agreeing to host the applicant and support their independent research under this Fellowship, if successful. Applicants will need to include supportive evidence regarding this agreement between them and the KAUST PI (e.g. Host PI support letter or email confirmation)
Proposal Eligibility
- Focus on one or more of the KAUST five Research Pillars: Water, Energy, the Environment, Food & Health, and the Digital Domain
- Have a 3-year duration
- Follow the budget and financial guidelines of the call

KAUST Global Fellowship Program is supporting research in line with the programs of KAUST academic divisions; Biological and Environmental Science and Engineering (BESE), Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Science and Engineering (CEMSE), and Physical Science and Engineering (PSE).

Selection Procedure:
Stage 1
- Eligibility check and completeness of the applications
- Internal review and pre-screening of applications and proposals
- Selection of up to 12 proposals per division for external review evaluation
Stage 2
- Request for independent external reviews (at least two per proposal)
- Reviewed applications will be sent to the division review panels
- Selection of up to7 candidates per division to be invited for an interview
Stage 3
- The interview will take place through videoconference only at the interviewer’s convenience
Stage 4
- Final evaluation of applications and interview scores and recommendations
- Up to 10 Fellows were selected to join the program
