It duration is 12-24 months (Depending on the study program)

Funding:

The funding details are as follows:-

  • 934-1200 Euros for doctoral candidates
  • Health, accident, and personal liability insurance
  • Travel allowance

Selection Requirements:

The selection requirements for the Scholarship are given below:-

  • Candidates fulfill the necessary academic requirements and can be expected to complete a study program in Germany
  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in an appropriate subject
  • At least two years of experience
  • Candidates have to prove their motivation is development-related and be expected to take on social responsibility and initiate and support processes of change in their personal and professional environment after their training/scholarship

Application Requirements:

  • Works in a developing country either for a public state or private company and is engaged in the planning and execution of directives and projects with an emphasis on development policies having a bearing on technological, economic, or social areas.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with far above-average results (upper third)
  • Two years of professional experience
  • Academic degrees should not be more than six years old.

Language Skills Requirements:

  • For study courses taught in German Language (Scholarship includes a preparatory 6-month German Language course in German): Successful passing of the language examination DSH 2 or TestDaF 4 before the start of the study course. Therefore, a minimum German language level of B1 at the time of application is a requirement, that needs to be proofed by providing a current certificate.
  • For study courses taught in English: IELTS 6 Bands or TOEFL minimum 550 paper-based / 80 internet bases

Application Procedure:

The candidates are required to apply directly to the chosen study program with the following documents ( a candidate can apply for up to three courses).

  • Complete and sign the Checklist
  • DAAD application
  • A Europass CV
  • One letter of Motivation
  • Experience Letter
  • Proof of Language Skills
  • Copies of higher education degree certificates
  • Copy of full set of transcript of records

 Selection Procedure:

The selection procedure comprises 4 steps which are given below:-

Step 1: send the complete application with all required documents to the desired postgraduate course.

Step 2: A selection Committee suggests potential and eligible candidates for the EPOS DAAD scholarship.

Step 3: The suggested candidates will be contacted by DAAD and will ask to upload their complete application to te DAAD portal.
