South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea (ROK), is a country in East Asia famous for its education and innovation in Technology. Fully Funded Scholarships for International Students – South Korea. Various ministries of the Korean Government run scholarship programs for international students and are gradually increasing their quotas. At present, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provide language, undergraduate, and graduate school scholarships with multiple scholarship benefits for international students.

SCHOLARSHIPS FROM THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

KF Fellowship for Postdoctoral Research

Eligibility Scholars who have recently obtained a PhD in the Humanities, social sciences, arts and cultural studies, or any other relevant field with a Korea-related research topic who fulfill the criteria
Period 1 year (starting from either in the 2024 spring semester or the 2024 fall semester)
Scholarships Benefits Stipend to support postdoctoral; research ( the amount will be determined based on the screening committee’s review of applicants’ proposals and on the circumstances of the region where the affiliated institution is located).

KF Scholarships for Graduate Studies

Eligibility M.A students or PhD candidates in the humanities, social sciences, arts and cultural studies, or any other relevant field with a Korea-related research topic who fulfill the criteria

  KF Fellowship for Korean Language Training

Eligibility Those who are majoring in Korean studies (humanities, social sciences, and arts and culture), are currently involved in Korea-related research, or are working in a Korea-related field and correspond to one of the profiles listed in the KLT program may apply. All those who apply must be able to understand and speak at least basic Korean.
Period At least six months
Scholarships Benefits Tuition, living expenses (paid every month), Travel allowance, Health insurance (accidental and medical provided by a Koran insurance company)Please note: Airfare is not supported
Quota Approximately 40 per year

 KF Fellowship for Field Research

Eligibility Scholars outside Korea who conduct comparative or case studies in the field of Korean studies or Korea-related areas in the fields of humanities or social sciences, or focus on research topics that are closely related to Korea and recognized as important new areas of study, and fall under one of the following Type A or Type B criteria.
Fields research by type Type ADoctoral candidates who have completed their required coursework and are in the process of writing their doctoral dissertation. Type BFull-time lecturers or researchers with experience in teaching or research at a university or research institute.
